We are BCorp!

¡Somos BCorp!

The Beemine Lab: a new chapter in our sustainable commitment .

We have become the first Spanish healthcare company specializing in CBD to join the B Corp community! This certification, a notable achievement in our history, validates our efforts in research and development of natural solutions with high standards of sustainability, transparency and social responsibility.

Connecting with the B Corp Community: more than a seal, a commitment.

We are excited to formalize our environmental impact model under the global B Corp certification. Joining this select group, which includes brands such as Danone, Heura, ISDIN and Camper, means being part of a global movement towards an inclusive and regenerative economy.

Continuous evolution and environmental commitment .

Our CEO, Telmo Güell, shares The Beemine Lab's clear objective: to consolidate ourselves as leaders in the development of natural solutions with cannabis and bee derivatives. "We feel part of the transformation promoted by B Corp, where our sustainability and business strategies go hand in hand," highlights Telmo Güell.

B Corp: we are among the 4% of the best companies in the world.

The B Corp certification, awarded after a rigorous examination, is an achievement that only 4% of companies achieve. The welcome from Pablo Sánchez, Executive Director of B Lab Spain, fills us with satisfaction, highlighting our example in reducing inequalities and respecting the environment.

Commitment to sustainability and innovation .

Andrés Espinosa, co-founder and Development Director, underlines our shared vision with B Lab and other leading Spanish companies. "Since our beginnings, we have been committed to sustainability and social responsibility. Year after year, we innovate and improve our products, combining biotechnology with CBD, beekeeping and active ingredients."

Certified ingredients and environmental commitment.

At The Beemine Lab, we only work with ingredients certified by ECOCERT and Euroleaf, 100% cruelty-free and natural, without toxins or pesticides. 5% of our profits go to support sustainable beekeeping, ensuring the protection of bees and their habitat. Our products, developed with our own formulas, have recycled and recyclable packaging.

Bringing CBD closer and elevating the pharmacy experience.

From our headquarters in Madrid, we challenge industry paradigms. We offer safe and sustainable products, from CBD oils to moisturizers and sports balms, such as our Alivium range. We are committed to ethics, transparency and fairness throughout the value chain.

A sustainable and collaborative future.

Our plans include continuing to expand our presence in Spanish pharmacies and expanding our sales internationally, reaching three new markets. We are excited to be part of the B Corp community and contribute to the shift towards a new paradigm of continuous improvement and collective action.

How has the process of becoming a BCorp been ?

This journey towards B Corp certification has not been easy, but we have had the leadership of Icíar Echevarría, our Head of Operations, throughout the process. Her dedication has been fundamental in overcoming each challenge and becoming part of the B Corp community.

We had the opportunity to sit down with her and further explore the process and meaning behind this transformative achievement:

01 Why did you decide to become certified as a B Corp?

At The Beemine Lab we decided that we wanted to become certified as a B Corp company because all the members of the project share a unanimous awareness for our environment, the earth and the rest of beings, concerned about the current situation, and hopeful of generating change, however small.

02 What were the main challenges you had to overcome to obtain certification?

Apart from the endless information that B Corp requested from us (work that we understand is absolutely necessary to review and through which we have ended up being happy to investigate to find), I think that the work with the suppliers and their analysis has been one of the most extensive studies. Talking to all the collaborators, making them understand what this internal sustainability audit for long-lived Spanish companies consists of was sometimes complicated.

03 What advice would you give to a company that is considering obtaining B Corp certification?

Two things:

  1. I hope you enjoy the process of gathering information. It is very valuable to understand how the company works from any decision-making process: from how to choose a supplier to how to approach your customers.
  2. They should dedicate the necessary time to developing the internal policies proposed by B Corp, from the ethical code to the employee manual. They should do it with enthusiasm and dedication, because from there very healthy and strong structures will emerge to generate a powerful and unbreakable team and environment.

04 In the day-to-day running of the company, where do you notice BCorp values?

In small and large decisions. From the way we speak within the team, how we look after ourselves, how we work in the office or where we buy our office supplies, to when deciding who we are going to collaborate with (we question whether the supplier/collaborator would sign our ethical code or not) or including certain environmental issues when designing our growth model.

05 For you, the B Corp community represents…

It represents a hope within the capitalist world in which we are all immersed to respect the environment and devote attention to other issues that are much more important than exclusively economic growth. I understand the community as those people who have the intention of dedicating mental and physical time to generate ideas for change.
