FULL INTERVIEW

Elvira Sastre , writer and poet, joins our #YoTambiénUsoCannabis campaign to tell us about her experience. In this article, we review some of the best moments of the interview to continue filling the gaps of misinformation and normalize the responsible use of CBD.

THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE HISTORY OF CANNABIS

“Man, I think that women already have an important role in all kinds of change . I think that we have something in our DNA, maybe it comes from a place that is not so nice, which is the need to always be improving and creating so that we are heard. Either you are groundbreaking or it is very complicated, or you innovate in something or they will not listen to you, because there is surely a man there who commands and governs, and making a place for yourself there is complicated.
And that sad reality pushes us to open new doors , to discover things and to fight in fields that no one has yet entered, so I imagine it will be closely related to that . In the end, these are projects that for me have a special strength, that come from a different place and in which I trust a lot because I believe that there is something common there that unites us all.” Since the beginning of time, women have had a closer relationship with the collection of plant products, care and the creation of natural remedies . It should be noted that during the Middle Ages these professions and work related to phytotherapy or herbalism had negative religious connotations , leading to imprisonment, torture and even the death of women. ( 7 ) In our article about 5 women in the history of Cannabis, we reviewed how, from the Ebers Papyrus to Brownie Mary, women have had a very close relationship with the accessibility, regulation and therapeutic benefits of Cannabis throughout history. Today we are still proud that this sector is led by women in the scientific, communication and organizational aspects . MENSTRUAL PAIN AND CBD

“I think there are pains , especially women, that we take for granted [...] as is the case of menstruation . I also think it is something interesting to investigate because I think that we should not accept any pain without fighting to reduce it a little. [...] so I tried it and the truth is that I am super happy because it has gone really well .” - Elvira Sastre
It is a fact that for most women and people who menstruate, it is not easy to lead a normal daily life during painful periods and the appearance of other symptoms when they are severe or occur simultaneously. In fact, it can become a debilitating symptomatology. Accumulating evidence indicates that CBD may help with several menstrual symptoms such as pain and inflammation ( 1 ), irritability ( 2 )( 3 ), headaches ( 4 ), and hormonal acne breakouts ( 5 ).

And the same is true for endometriosis , in an Australian study participants reported improvements in pain, sleep, nausea and vomiting .( 6 )

BALM AND PAIN: RECOVER WITH CBD

“As I already knew that this existed and that it was what I wanted to try here, that's where I started with the oil. The recovery balm is one of my favorite products, because when I'm working for a long time it helps me with back contractures .” - Elvira Sastre
This is how Elvira Sastre described her experience with the recovery balm . Our cold and immediate effect cream is made up of 95% natural ingredients. Its formula rich in cannabidiol offers a sensation of body relaxation, perfect for applying before, during or after a sporting or everyday effort. THE ROLE OF THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM IN ATOPIC SKIN

" My girl does have skin problems, she has atopic skin , so in winter when it's cold her skin does get bad and she has a hard time" - Elvira Sastre
And it is true that there was a period when she was trying many creams before going to sleep, but none of them worked well for her, and then one day I told her why she didn't try a little of the oil with the cream. In a matter of one night , the next night, she noticed it a lot and her skin improved a lot ." Atopic skin is characterized by being particularly dry, sensitive and vulnerable to external factors. People with atopic skin may experience itching, burning and pain that vary depending on stress levels, diet, temperature changes, etc. Our CBD oil or CBD cream can help those more sensitive and atopic skins thanks to its soothing, moisturizing and sebum-regulating ingredients. Its effectiveness lies in one of its star ingredients, Cannabidiol, which improves the functioning of our Endocannabinoid System , restoring the natural balance and well-being of our skin. Thank you very much, Elvira, for sharing your experience and breaking the stigmas so that more people know about the potential for well-being that the Cannabis plant offers us. Literature:
